F A N i s S M A L L E R than the original. So it appears the complete shroud (7 screws) has to be replaced rather than just the motor/fan (3 screws). The shroud is in an extremely tight spot so it has to be bent to be removed. Also the 7 screws are difficult to get to. After removing the shroud it is the exact same one that came with the motor/fan. The fan is just smaller.
After installation everything was fine until the Florida temperature got into the mid 90's. Then the smaller fan would not blow enough air to cool my Deville and on High you cannot have a conversation because of the noise. Last night (cooler outside) my wife asked me what the humming noise was while the fan was on low.

Comments about ToughOne Flanged Vented CCW Blower Motor w/ Wheel:

Pre-drilled mounting holes were opposite the original motor. Had to drill holes to match original mounting holes. Came with complete housing that wasn't needed (most likely to up the price). When it said exact match for my car, it should have matched perfectly. It wouldn't have taken but a minute for them to add mounting holes on opposite side of mount to make it more of a universal fit. Had to make own gasket since it didn't match my mounting holes. Too expensive, but half price of A-C Delco.

This is a difficult replacement to begin with, but the part I got was incorrect. Dealer said there were two diff parts used in 2002 so be sure to get correct one for your car.

I had to return this part and get the correct part from the dealer.

I put this blower in my '04 LeSabre. It comes with a new plastic housing. Take off the 3 screws that hold the motor into it and throw it away. Take out the 3 screws that hold the old one in and install the new one. There is no reason to remove/replace the housing completely; you can only see 2 of the 7 screws required to replace it! Just change out the motors!

Comments about ToughOne Flanged Vented CCW Blower Motor w/ Wheel:

2002 Olds Aurora. Very difficult to intall with housing. I had to cut off the whole back side of housing to get it back in then glued the piece back in. I would suggest taking the motor out of the housing and matching it with a new one. This would have been much easier. Take cover off underneath glove box (2 screws) then take motor out (3 screws). Take motor to auto parts store and match it up (dont worry about getting the exact blower wheel, just make sure the diameter is not larger). Dont take housing out. My two cents anyway.

With reference to your query on Factory Air Blower Motor part# 75749 , the blower motor is located under the dash on the pass side on your 2003 Buick LeSabre, you have to remove the panel under the glove box to see it. For more information, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our technicians would be more than happy to assist you.

Hello, The blower motor is located behind the glove box. Remove hex head screws about eight of them and some of the trim and you will have direct access to the blower motor. Plan on about twenty minutes to remove said stuff. Removing and replacing the blower motor is easier than you think. Mal Whitaker of Venice Florida. PS I just installed a new motor in my 2004 Deville as the old motor would only operate if you banged hard on the underside of the glove box.. have fun and a good day.

Is there a way for me to test my motor before I spend $150 on a new one? Can I buy a new motor and return it if that wasn't the problem? Also, how long does it take to ship?

                A:

If the fan is installed, it is considered used at that point and is not able to be returned in most cases. Shipping depends on what type of shipping you choose. We offer next day, 2nd day, and standard 3-5 days. To see if there is a way to test the motor, I recommend visiting your local Advance Auto Parts store and speaking with a representative there about whether or not there is a test for it.

              • A:

Yes, unplug the fan motor. Set the blower switch to high and the selector switch on vent. The ignition must be on. Test the power cord that plugs in to the motor with a test light. If the test light lights the motor is most likely bad... Good Luck
