    How do you determine what is the positive hookup on the pump?

      A:

      The easiest way to do that would be to remove the fuel pump relay and jumper the connections to make the fuel pump run. One connector at the fuel pump relay should be hot at all times (without the key on). Jumper this connector to the connector that goes to the fuel pump. The connector that goes to the fuel pump will be the connector that is opposite DIAGONALLY from the wire that is hot at all times.
