Got this home and ready to install untill I opened the box and there in big letters "warranty void unless a new mesch filter screen is installed." Part description did not mention this. Why would a new filter not be included if it is required for the install. I had to run back to town and buy a new 10$ filter. It even looked like there was one in the picture, but it was a black hose. Very disappointed.

Comments about CARQUEST Electric Fuel Pump:

Broke within 24 hours after install. Had to pay for the install twice and advanced and this company won't help cover the second install. I spent the extra money and bought a better brand,I suggest you do the same or you might be out an extra $300 for install.DO NOT BUY! Avoid advanced auto as well!

      Not happening

Comments about CARQUEST Electric Fuel Pump:

Unit was purchased 2/14/11 and died on 8/28/2014. Unlike the usual "silent death" burnout mode this unit would still run but there was a lot of noise and no pressure. I'm assuming the impeller or it's support structure broke. The strainer was intact and clean as was the tank so it's not a case of debris getting into the pump.

Comments about CARQUEST Electric Fuel Pump:

Put this in a step side 97 K1500 Chevy. Took bolts off driver side and loosened those on other side almost completely. Disconnected grounds at filler and at tail light. Disconnected filler neck. Tilted body up and blocked it between body and tire with 2 x 4. Enough room to clean, blow away dirt, unscrew old unit, pull it out and replace the pump and filter. The only hard part was getting the filter to stay on the end of the pump. I hope it stays. There should be a way to lock it or screw it on.

Purchased this for a 1995 Chevrolet Astro Van that was having fuel issues. Purchased the Bosch filter with this unit too. Only gave it four stars because this pump has not been tested over a long period of time. The vehicle runs great! My friend just has not gotten it back on the road.

It does have a good warranty provided by Advance Auto Parts. They get a 5-Star rating for sure!

Comments about CARQUEST Electric Fuel Pump:

We had a hard time figuring out the problem with our van. We had put in a new battery, fuel pump and something else. All these helped some but did not take care of the problem completely. We were told it was a low fuel pressure. When we went to start it, it was like the battery was too low. Sometimes even a jumpstart and ether would not get going. Finally it died along the road. We bought a new fuel pump. The problem cleared up completely. Thanks for your vast inventory to have a part when we needed it.
