Comments about CARQUEST Electric Fuel Pump:

Bought this for my 2000 Windstar before I saw the assembly in the tank. The OEM fuel assembly is full of little gaskets, check valves, and tiny tubes that were sloshing around in gas for 12 years. Not to mention the main nylon assembly was all brittle. There are multiple opportunities for problems here. Seriously consider buying the whole new assembly instead of using this repair part if your pump died of old age. After paying for filters you don't save much money vs a whole assembly when using this pump.
My OEM fuel assembly had a bad valve too so I ended up buying the new one. After dropping the tank a second time I noticed the rubber fitting that was supplied to slide on the base of this replacement pump swelled to a crazy size and the pump was jiggling in the mount. Not impressed with Airtex quality on that, don't think it would have worked in the long run.

Perfect fit. Came with all seals needed. Need to purchase strainer separately. Working well. It was convenient to order online and pick up at store.

                A:

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. It will be necessary to remove the fuel tank to gain access and replace the pump. Once the tank is removed, the fuel pump will be under the large locking on the top of the tank.
