All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

    Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

    I guess you get what you pay for... The end of the axle would not slide into the transaxle more than a third of an inch. Obviously you don't want to beat the axle into the transaxle so it had to be cleaned up all of the way around the splines. At that point the axle slid right in.
