My previous axle broke just at the axle nut, I bought this one online and picked it up at the store the next day. Took about an hour to replace the old one along with the hub and it works like a charm!

not a bad cv axle, bought it online, got a discount, picked it up at the store. It took a while to get the old one out, but one it was out this one was basically plug and play. no fuss, just a cv axle. pretty happy with the purchase.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Had an ABS problem. Tested all the wheel sensors to be within specs, however when I visually inspected the wheel tone ring, you could see it was cracked which produced a gap, therefore tripping the ABS. Instead of replacing just the tone ring, which would have been more problematic, I replaced the whole axle assembly that has a new tone ring.
ABS problem is gone. Good replacement part.

Works just like you would expect a new product to work. Quality was good. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the cotter pin. I had to make another trip to town to get the pin to finish the job.

It really depends on the vehicle that you have and how the manufacturer designed and built that vehicle.
