This is the only axle listed for a Toyota Camry at Advance, so the idiots working there assume it works for automatic and manual transmissions. Too bad the splines are a few millimeters too long. How'd I find out? After rebuilding my transmission and engine, I drove to Charlotte where all my gear oil leaked out and had to pay a ridiculous amount to get my car towed 2 hours home. Then, advance would not return the axles, only exchange. But I went with OEM axles.[...]

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I used this axle to replace the busted one on my 92 Camry (driver side). Axle was really good quality, good boots, etc. The only downside was, as someone already mentioned, it didn't have the same design as the original so there isn't much to hit on to get it to go into the transmission. The original axle has a nice 1/4" lip to bang on while this one barely has a bump. I was able to get it to go in by using a crow bar and tapping with a hammer on the small lip. Eventually it went in, just took some patience.

The axle shaft was difficult to put in my Toyota Camry since there was no place on the metal shaft to hammer in the shaft.

I returned the part back and got a reman. that was similar to the oem part.

Hi Larry, glad to assist you! I see that this CV axle shaft assembly is for 1992 Toyota Camry LE with ABS. We have an alternate USA Industries Constant Velocity Axle Assembly - part# CV2726 which would be an exact fit for your vehicle without ABS.

With reference to this ToughOne New CV Axle Shaft Assembly - part# NCV69505, installing the CV axle shaft assembly depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle.
