Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Both CV Axle Shaft Assembly have been replaced on my Nissan Altima now. The right side installed easier than the left side. I had to return the left side to get a CV Axle Shaft Assembly that my mechanic could install. The original left side CV Axle Shaft Assembly did not fit.

The new axle assembly,i.e. both sides, has the car cornering like it did when new. Instructions included made the installation easy.

            • Q:

The axle is for ABS brake.

              (1) My car is a 98 Altima (GLE) without ABS brake. Can I put it on my car?

              (2) What if I only replace the front right axle? So after replacement, my car will have the old axle on the left, which is not for ABS brake, and the new axle on the right, which is for ABS brake?

              Thanks!

Hi Andy, glad to help you! You could not be able to use this part as it is specifically designed for ABS brakes. We do have an exact CV axle shaft assembly available online for your vehicle and the part number is AX-9463. Please enter your vehicle on our website and search for this part to check the fitment.
