Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I originally purchased after market axles for my 2003 evolution from O'reillys auto parts and they did not fit as advertised and they shafts did not even come balanced. The ones from Advance were exact replacements to the factory part. They fit excellent.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I did not have the other reviewer's sealing issue with this CV joint however I purchased it 3+ years ago and wanted to follow up on longevity. I did replace my axle seals on both sides at the same time I swapped in this part so that might have helped.

This CV has held up well in a high performance application with increased engine displacement, a multi-plate clutch, and additional boost pressure.

It has held up to several trips to the drag strip, multiple auto-crosses and one track day with hard clutch slips. I have not done any clutch dumps with it however because it tends to break other drive line components.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

The shaft that slides onto the output shaft from the transfer case is to narrow of a diameter to create a seal against the axle shaft oil seal. I've been through 2 separate oil seals attempting to secure the gear oil leak from the transfer case. I will return this product for a return. The driver side axle fits fine.
