All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

    I don't yet know the longevity of this, but I don't like the axle nut locking. You are supposed to crush the nut into a slot in the axle. The slot does not extend far enough up the axle to accomplish this. I would prefer if it had the standard castle nut and cotter pin like factory. The boots seem like quality pieces, not super flimsy like some replacement ones. Splines are not damaged like refurb axles so install was a breeze.
