All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

          I would say if your going to buy the whole part you might as well replace the whole part, would probably be easier too. You should check out the CV Bearing rebuild kits too.
