Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

My son has a 2001 Civic EX manual transmission, and this part is an exact fit. Although it's lightweight, it seems to be well made and hopefully will last for many years longer than the warranty. I was taking the vehicle to get motor mounts installed because the guy who previously rebuilt the transmission broke one but wouldn't own up to doing so. Anyways, while my new mechanic was installing the mounts, he noticed how badly damaged the axle was (which I didn't take notice because it was driving so terribly in the absence of the mount) but didn't charge any extra to install this part because he said it was already accessible and easy to remove and re-install.

        Leaks grease

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Axle works, however, noticed 1 week later grease oozing out, wiped off but there it was again another week later. Not sure if this is normal. Keeping my eye on it, hopefully it just had too much grease installed at factory
