The old axle outside boot broke so replaced with new unit instead of replacing boot or getting a rebuilt. The difference in the car vibration is significant - and the old unit felt just fine. So, impressed with the build quality. Bit of a problem getting it into the transmission - the retaining spring was bent a bit too much. Used the old one and went in fine - after 15 minutes of 'trying'. The inner boot was of a softer material than the outer, which looked normal. My outside ones always break first so not too concerned.

The retaining clip at the transmission end was open too much and had to use the clip off of the old axle to get it to clip into the transmission.
This axles vibrates more on acceleration than the old unit with the ripped boot. I will be uninstalling it then returning it for a new one today.
I hoped since this was a new unit, and not a reman, that it would not have this problem. I was wrong. Next time I will go with the OEM part the first time and not mess with aftermarket parts.

I bought this because it was the only one on Advance's site that showed a balancer ring in the image, but it didn't have one when I got home and opened the package. If I knew this I would have just bought the cheaper one. I checked I would recommend to a friend because it is what it is, an economy axle.

It,s nice to see packaging that considers the small things. Threads and splines were protected and nut installed. No damage, no worries.
            Axle was easy to install.
I only hope the bellows material has improved and last more than three years.

Relatively Easy to replace and more cost effective than replacing just one boot at a time. Replaced in the driveway in about an hour and a half. with impact tools, jack stands. Make sure you follow safe practice as you do have to get under the car a little, and it is a greasy job, but not bad if you have decent mechanical skills and the right tools.
