Only have about 40miles on product, so I can only comment on the item's apperance and the install. Item: passenger side axle for 1996 Accord EX.

Looked like the OEM axle and the install was straight forward without any drama. I will say the machining on the spline cuts weren't as nice as the factory piece, but I don't think it's an issue. After the install I performed a test drive on the HWY and in an abandonded parking lot and did not notice any issues under the following conditions: HWY speeds, lock-to-lock turning, hard accel and hard braking. So far so good.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

First off, why buy remanufactured when $10 more gets you brand new parts? Now, on to the important info. I bought this and the other side for the front of my 96 Honda Accord LX 2.2, Manual transmission. They slipped right in, fit perfectly, and solved my knocking sound immediately. I wasn't sure because the boots on my old CV axles were still good, but this did the trick. This is the only brand I've used for the few axle jobs I've done, but so far I've had good experiences with them. One thing in this case that had me a bit worried was that both sides look the same and are the same length, although they have different part numbers. I consulted the Haynes book and it confirmed both sides are the same length for this particular car. Just to be safe (because they must have different part numbers for a reason, right?) I made a note on each box to identify which was which before I took them to do the work. They also come with a new axle nut--the kind you deform to keep in place instead of using a cotter pin.

Fit my 1997 Honda Accord SE (no ABS) with no problem. I was hesitant when I first pulled it out of the box....it appeared to have a slightly different shaft length than the old one, but it turned out to fit perfectly after actually getting it into place. Had to gently pound it into place(using the part itself, not a hammer!) once getting it into the trans. to "knock" it flush against the trans. seal) Went very well, Good fit! Took 15 minutes to put it all back together.
