Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Advance Auto should have 40mm socket as a loaner tool or reimburse me $15 for the hassle.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Did no fit diff. bearing at all. Had to pull shaft back out, because I could not get it far enough in. When I did this, it pulled bearing out of housing! Got new shaft, it did not fit either. Turned shaft down to fit, only to have boots fail after 3 weeks. Car also vibrates with these shafts. BMW techs will aslo tell you that aftermarket shafts will make car vibrate in drive position with brake pedal pressed in. Somethings are OK to buy from Advance, but not these.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Beware, you will need to sand down the bearing tracks on the shaft of the new axle!! Not a correct fit and you can spend a lot of time sanding the axle down.
