Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

Picked these up to tie me over until I get the oem axles rebuilt
Fitment is good, but only time and many miles will tell if these are a good long-term, cheaper replacement to the Super expensive oem parts

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I bought my '02 Allroad with a bad left axle, I wanted something cheap and quick so I can use the car asap therefore I bought this one. It ended up being about $75 shipped with an online coupon. Score!
It's been about 10 months and a little less then 10,000 miles and this axle is holding up just fine. Boots are fine, no wobbles, no clicks just a bit of surface rust on the shaft.
My car is converted to coilovers so I don't know how an air ride will treat these axles , like i said in my car it's doing its job just fine.
I wish the surface of the axle was painted as it's got surface rust now going in the 2nd winter(I bought it last february).
My other axle just went bad so I will be ordering the right one as well. I guess I'll be painting that one right out of the box, maybe do the same for the driver's side.
