    NOT FOR THE S4 WARNING!!

    By

    from Nashville, TN

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

The Advance parts database is COMPLETELY screwed up on their axles. They keep cross-referencing parts off the A4 or the Automatic cars for the Manual Trans S4. This WILL NOT FIT YOUR S4 Manual Trans car. Period. The axle spline is too short going into the wheel hub. AVOID AVOID AVOID if you have an S4.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

This product left me stranded 3 miles away from home on the first night it was installed. the axle shaft separated from the CV joint This axle has no retaining clip to keep the axle spline in the CV joint. I thought it was just a defective part until I exchanged it for another one at different advance auto parts store 30 min away and it was exactly the same. I found another aftermarket axle at local parts store and it does have a retaining like the original axle
