Perfect fit for my 03 Passat. The OE cv axle boot split and was getting noisy. This axle was cheap, easy to install and works great.

    Not a properly balanced axle

    About Me Auto Enthusiast, Mechanic

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

This is a SOLID steel axle. Most OEM axles are hollow to prevent vibration. Sure enough, after I installed this, there is a vibration under acceleration. Now I need to uninstall it and return it. Then do the install all over again. Note: I only installed the drivers side. For what its worth, I replaced the opposite side a few months ago with "Duralast Gold" from Autozone and there was no vibration. Im pretty sure they are solid as well.. Maybe I just got lucky.
