DO NOT BUY THIS CV SHAFT

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

This is the wrong part. I put it in my Manual S4 and drove it 7 miles and it was clicking like crazy. I remembered that upon install i had to thread the hub bolt quite a bit in excess before i felt the final torque. I am attributing this to the thinking that the shaft is too short.

Good quality, not for manual trans

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I bought a set of these, the right one was correct for a 2000 Audi S4 2.7T with a MANUAL transmission, has the ball bearings, gasket, and lube. The left one is this part, and is NOT for a manual transmission, does NOT have the ball bearings, gasket, or lube. They do not have the correct manual transmission CV axle for this application.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

This was not the correct axle for my 01 A4 with a standard transmission. Advance did a great job making it right and offered to help get me the right axle, but I ended up just rebuilding my old axle. At that point it was the only way I felt that I would know I have the correct part. I had to do some research on this and it appears that Advance is not the only one who list the wrong axle for my car. One thing that bothered me a little was that the part product was show as Toughone and I have usually had good luck with the brand. Wheb this one arrived it was a different brand all together, even though it is was the correct part number.
