All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

      Hi Robbob, I'm glad to assist you. This CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly (Part No. NCV12539) is an exact fit for your 1989 Chrysler LeBaron. If you have un-equal length shafts, you can use it on front left side. If you have equal length shafts, you can use it on either front left or right side.

    I just ordered this online and picked it up at the store. When I got it home and compared it to the one I removed from my car, it looks different. It is missing the Damper weight in the middle. It looks like it might physically fit, but I am worried that it is not the right part and will hurt my automatic trans axle. Should I take this back?

      I recommend that you take the old one and the new back to the store and show them the counter weight that you are worried about.
