All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

          This part is a junk, it started leaking from the boot already after 6 months, I dont want to have to pay to get this replaced till i am really have to. But get another brand this brand is not good. Right side is fine after 16 months but its looks like its going to leak very soon.

            After having this part installed and driving the vehicle, i noticed smoke coming from the passsenger side. should the axle have been greased on the gears before installling or what???

              Please check the CV boot on the front passenger side. It may crack and spray grease on down pipe and turbo.
