All CARQUEST axles have a new zinc dichromate plated nut or attaching hardware. CV joint grease has a high moly content. The boot bands are made from stainless steel, and the boots are manufactured to resist wear and damage due to extreme high and low temperatures.

Does not fit Vortex!!!!!!!!! This is for the 19 bolt tranny! If your tanny has 17 bolts in the ban!!!! Dont buy this!!!!!!! It will ruin your xar as soon as you put it in any gear!!!!! Tgus does not fir the "U" motor in Taurus!!!!!!! Dont let these fools tell you it will!!! Im living proff that it want!!!!

        I installed and ran great for about 4 weeks. The splined shaft then began to slip out of the tranny leaving me stranded. I would not think this could happen. Is this because the snap ring is bad, because it is a poor replacement part, or should i have applied loctite.
