Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

The reviews scared me, but I went ahead and bought it. Huge mistake. 15,000 miles later, the inner CV joint basically shot, and vibrating at high speeds. I replaced three other axles on other cars, and used different brand (A1 Cardone from Napa) much better.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

i ordered this part online, and it said it was an exact fit and NEW. when i went to place the order the only store that had it was on the otherside of town. which i was fine with. but when i get the part and get my car torn apart i find out its 2-3 inches TOO LONG. i even asked the guy in the store if it was the right part he assured me one was supposed to be longer than the other. also it looked used. it didnt have plastic around it like the previous one did and the threads where the axel connects to the bearing where all ate up like they were stripped. VERY DISAPOINTED!!!

This is the 2nd set of axles and bad again after 8 month and less than 10,000 miles .This set started to viberate after 50 miles. These shafts can not handle the little power a 3.9 V-6 puts out.It is my wifes van and she is not a lead foot she drives like it is sunday with no jack rabbit starts.I am very tired of buy stuff made in a 3rd world country with no quality control and use of cheap materials.A life time warranty for this item is a big joke after replacing 2 or 3 times they hope you will give up and not return for replacement.I now for the 3 rd time need to go through the hassel of replacing something that should have lasted at least as long as the original factory ones did which was about 75,000 mile.less than 10,000 miles on two sets is not right and they should be taken off the market.
I should get my money back plus the hours of labor I put in installing them .

Spent a weekend working on car front end. The nut that comes with this is thin and ended up stripping the bolt threading on the outside. Poor quality, and a big waste of time and money. Buy at your own risk.
