            • Q:

Can this shaft be used in a live axle setup? I have a 2000 Ranger XLT 4.0 4x4 and it has a live axle assembly instead of the pulse vacuum hubs. The front driver side cv boot / shaft went bad and needs to be replaced. Can I use this assembly or will it not be compatible with the live axle assembly?

                A:

Happy to help, Kevin! I don't think it will be compatible with a live axle setup, and I do not see a compatible unit for your setup. I would recommend that you check with the nearest Advance store and one of our representatives would be able to assist you with a compatible axle shaft unit.

Hi Tom, good question! Advance Auto Parts does sell Made in the USA products as well as products manufactured from many other countries in order to keep our pricing competitive. Our suppliers have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.
