The factory boot on my Yukon XL Denali was torn, and I wanted to replace it before the joint started grinding. I purchased the driveworks cv axle and installed it in December of 2013.

Less than a year later the boot was torn and slinging grease everywhere. I warrantied the part and replaced it in December of 2014.

Less than a year later the boot on the replacement part was torn and slinging grease everywhere. I'm hoping the third time will be the charm.

I do not recommend buying this axle unless you are selling your vehicle immediately. The Yukon is driven by my wife and is basically a mall cruiser. All pavement driving with some occasional snow/ice in winter. The boot ought to last longer than 10 months without tearing.

Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

I had a 1 shop put on one side and another shop put on the other side. Both outer boots starting to dimple in and one boot tore. I replaced both axles again and personally put them on. And again they both started doing the same thing. They were fine until I used my 4wd. Product looks and feels durable. Not sure if the dimension are just slightly off, bad boots, bad grease, bad clamps or what. So I'm about to put on OEM parts and see if that works.
