Comments about CARQUEST CV Shafts New CV Axle Shaft Assembly:

The axle is a good fit and it has a lifetime warren-tee. The already assembled axle saves time and is a factory piece. The quality and workmanship appear good. As far as service, with lifetime warrentee its great. The price is very competitive.I also like that it came with a new axle nut. there is something that could be attended to, the cardboard box has very sharp edges. The edges will cut most handlers hands!!

This could possibly be the problem. However, with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer.

        • A:

Yes. I had a vibration on the left front of my Park Avenue and the tires had just been re-balanced. The inner cv joint was worn and causing the vibration but no noise and no tear in the boot. Replaced the axle and no more vibration. Inner joint proved to be extremely worn.

      • Q:

what does a cv axle do? if the solution in my over flow bottle keep bulbing do i need an intake gasket if so does that come in 1 or 2 parts,or could i use bars leake 3 step?
Asked on 8/19/2010 by kay kay from baltimore md

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

A CV axle transfers the power from the transmission to the wheels. If the over flow bottle is bubbling it could be a head gasket, intake gasket, or a hole in the coolant passages.
