Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

After being told from a local garage it would cost a hundred and fifty dollars to replace my clutch slave and master cylinders I decided to do it myself with parts from Advanced Auto Parts. Fifty dollars in parts and less than two hours later my car shifts great.thanks Advanced

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

1993 Miata, 88,000 miles. Old unit was shot, had to pump the clutch pedal to get into gear then the clutch would engage on it's own. Little tricky to install because the hydraulic fitting doesn't seem to align with the hydraulic tubing as nicely as the original. I would suggest loosely installing top mounting bolt, then screwing on the hydraulic line, then install lower mounting bolt. Replaced the clutch master cylinder at the same time and drained / replaced old break fluid with Vavoline DOT 3 / 4 synthetic. Car is shifting perfectly. Great price when coupled with online Advance Coupon code. Entire project cost about $32.00 - saved alot of money! Took about one and a half hours.

Product seems good quality, and installed without any issues. Mounting bolts lined up perfectly on my '91 Miata.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

The fitting on this product is horrible, I should've known since the item was almost half price of the other brands.

After connecting all the lines, the part where the flare nut connects to the slave cylinder kept leaking no matter how much I torqued the nut. I gave up after a while, as I had already exceeded the recommended torque specs and feared messing up the threads. Returned the part to Advanced Auto the next day.

Will try the Beck/Arnley one next.

Fluid line casting size is larger than OEM and thus makes linning up the mounting bolts some some what challenging.
