this part is different than the original... it's a lot thicker especially on the flange. when i took the orignal part off i barely had enough room. also, do you have an idea how to compress the cylinder for installation. also, has this product been tested for fit. I have a 1993 corvette convertible.

    thanks.

      A:

Yes, the Perfection Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder - Part No. 360017 has been tested and is an exact fit for your 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 5.7L 350 Convertible. The slave cylinder has to be connected to the master cylinder or it will not compress. And if you can't press the slave cylinder rod in with the master cylinder cap off you may need a new master cylinder as well. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
