Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

Easy two person install, but be careful on pulling the old clutch master cylinder from the firewall, it doesn't come with a relacement gasket. No directions on how to "blench bleed" before install, but easy enough to figure out. Don't forget the fliud for it.

Hi Arnie, Advance Auto Parts does sell Made in the USA products as well as products manufactured from many other countries in order to keep our pricing competitive. Please also keep in mind that many suppliers have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

      • A:

The slave cylinder on the transmission has a bleed valve. With the bleed valve open and a cup underneath to catch the extra fluid, have someone help you pour fluid in the reservoir as you pump the clutch pedal until air bubbles stop coming out of the bleed valve. Close the valve and check your pedal pressure.
