Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

This one has a limited lifetime warranty. The other I had did not. It was easy to install even though I clean the poo out of everything as I replace parts. I bled it out like a brake master cylinder but it still needed pumping. I got excellent pressure after about 75 pumps or so. I did replace the slave cylinder a few months back (with broken ribs just to say I did) so now I have full pressure all the way around even though the other master cylinder was only 6 years old. It must have had a bad seal inside because there were no leaks. I may have a small air bubble in the line because when I reattached the line there was a 1/4 inch of air in the line top but this has not affected pressure in the past 4 days. So far so good. I did leave the cap off of the reservoir for several hours to let the air bubble escape.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

Very easy to install. package was in great shape when received. The instruction to the product and how to installed it was very clear. you really need to bench bleed this product to cut down on install time. Without bleeding your time will increased a lot. I think you notice a lot more pressure than you had before when the clutch master cylinder is installed. Don't forget to bleed the bottom of the line , just to make sure you have all the air out of the system. This seems like anothere great product from Advance Auto L will buy all my Products there.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

I have had tis truck since new in 1991. It now has over 400,000 miles. I did not have to replace this part till last year, however after one year I had to replace it again. I did not try to cover it under warranty as it was not too expensive and did not want to hunt down old receipt. Parts seem that they are not made to last like they used too. Just frustrating to be on the side of the road once again.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

I replaced all the fluid and bled out my old cylinder, that worked for a few days and then the seals went so I got this one to replace it. Popped it out of the box, put it on the vice, bled it out and put it on. I didn't even have to bleed after that, works great. It bolted right up and all I did was clean the push rod and dab some grease on it. I wasn't expecting a new reservoir with it either so that was nice as well even though I had cleaned the old one with super clean. Over all it was what I expected for my 89 Chevy 2500, easy to replace and install stuff, an easy truck to work on. Too bad the brake fluid rusts up so quick. Back to black already.

I should have read the reviews of this part before purchase. This is not the clutch master cylinder for my 89 pickup. I had to drive 25 miles (where it was purchased) to return it. Advance Auto usually is spot on with their products but this one is incorrect for the application
