Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

I replaced the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder both with parts from Advanced Auto Parts. I was quoted a hundred and fifty bucks from a local garage for parts and labor but was able to do it myself in two hours for less than fifty bucks. thanks Advanced

93 Miata - Easy to install

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

This master slave cylinder was very easy to install. If you are not sure what to do, follow this...
After you install it, fill the reservoir to the full line and bleed the lines. I bled mine by loosening the valve on the slave cylinder (you can see it if you look from above the passenger side of the Miata toward the transmission, right past the tire). Using a socket with a couple of extension, open the nut valve, have someone pump the clutch pedal and you should see fluid flying out (you can hook up a hose to the valve so you don't make a mess). Re-tighten nut valve and you are good.
However, you should also replace the slave cylinder though.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Master Cylinder:

Installed on a 1990 Mazda Miata with a new slave cylinder of the same brand and bench bled first with all new hydraulic fluid. The master has failed internally only 2 months after install with normal daily driving. I would only recommend this part as an emergency temporary repair until oem parts can me installed.

1993 Miata, 88,000 miles. Easy replacement of old unit. Exact fit. Replaced the clutch slave at the same time and drained / replaced old break fluid with Vavoline DOT 3 / 4 synthetic. Car is shifting perfectly. Great price when coupled with online Advance Coupon code. Entire project cost about $32.00 - saved alot of money! Took about one and a half hours.
