Flywheel hot spots can cause chatter. Resurfacing a flywheel doesn't always remove hot spots. The flywheel may look shiny and pretty, but the hot spots will often still be there. Service the System by replacing the flywheel and the clutch set at the same time. All flywheels come with a new ring gear.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Flywheel:

Good flywheel. Smooth clutch engagement with no chatter. I wish I would have changed the flywheel with my clutch change instead of turning it, which chattered to no end. For [$] more, replace the flywheel!

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Flywheel:

This thing is heavier than the stock flywheel, but it fit my budget. The surfaces look pretty good, but the unfinished casting looks a bit porous. Probably ok for a daily driver, but since this is an autocross car I'll probably start saving my money for a lightweight replacement.
