Flywheel hot spots can cause chatter. Resurfacing a flywheel doesn't always remove hot spots. The flywheel may look shiny and pretty, but the hot spots will often still be there. Service the System by replacing the flywheel and the clutch set at the same time. All flywheels come with a new ring gear.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Flywheel:

the holes lined up on the crank. but the tone ring was in the wrong position. this caused a no start and 3 week long head ache, and eventually lead to a hefty mechanic bill to do what i had already "fixed"

according to forums, a 1991 yj has a different flywheel. according to adv auto and perfection, its the same as other years.
