Comments about CARQUEST Caps and Stats Thermostat, 180 Degrees Fahrenheit:

This Stant thermostat works just as well as the OEM thermostat at a couple of $ less than the OEM. If your on a budget then pick up this thermostat and save $2 before purchasing an OEM thermostat.

With reference to your inquiry on the thermostat (Stant Thermostat, 180 Degrees Fahrenheit - Part No. 14358) location on your 2002 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L engine, it is located on the bottom of the block on the drivers side where the lower radiator hose is. You will have to get under the car on the drivers side and follow the hose up to the motor. Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Locate the top radiator hose. Follow the radiator hose to the thermostat housing. Unbolt the two bolts on the housing with a
socket wrench. Pull the thermostat out of the housing with your fingers.

        A:

Any liquid-cooled car engine has a small device called the thermostat that sits between the engine and the radiator. The thermostat in most cars is about 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle. This will have many of the locations of parts needed for a variety of repairs.
