Could not give it A 5 star because it's not the original. It works fine what I need it for.

Comments about CARQUEST Caps and Stats Thermostat, 180 Degrees Fahrenheit:

I have a 1998 Cadillac Seville SLS, Northstar engine. I bought several different brands of thermostats. They all failed within a month. The Stant is the only one that is still working in my car right now. It has been almost a year since i installed it. It has a much better design compared to other thermostats. Have not had any overheating issues.

pros--well constructed except the rubber seal(not the gasket)only lasts about 6 months.

cons--had to put in about 4 thermostats in the last 3 yrs, and none of the stant's had the opening temperature stamped on the thermostat.
