            A:

It will not affect your engine performance and it is always recommended to replace the thermostat with higher degrees.

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

          • A:

Low engine temperature is, in most cases a thermostat that is not closing fully. It won't ruin your engine, but it will lower your gas mileage.

            Hope this helps.

        • Q:

Is this part used to get your heat working
          Asked on 12/13/2009 by Anonymous

          1 answer

          • A:

The thermostat is only one of the parts that go into your heat. If it is bad, you would get hot air while moving, but cold air while idling or at a red light. If that is not your symptoms, then it definately is not the thermostat at fault.

            Hope this helps
