Q:CAN THIS RELAY CAUSE FUEL PUMP NOT TO RUN WITH THE SWITCH ON TO SEND POWER TO IT, BUT PUMP WILL RUN WHEN THE STARTER IS ENGAGED AND MOTOR IS TURNING OVER? hAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE OVER LAST FEW DAYS WITH BEING HARDER TO START. THANKS
A:Hi Roger, glad to serve you! As there may be various reasons for this problem, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you to take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
Q:Can this relay cause the fuel pump and the starter to malfunction? No fuel pump sound and the starter doesn't engauge
A:The BWD/Intermotor Relay (Part No. R4831) is a headlight relay. It would not cause the fuel pump and the starter to malfunction. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
