Comments about CARQUEST by Intermotor Power Door Lock Actuator:
I knew my old motor was bad when it was making a very loud squeeching sound every time I used the door lock.
This is an excellent part. Was an exact match for my 2000 Mazda MPV and took about an hour to install and this was my first time doing it. It is so quiet, you can't hear the new motor at all, other than the click of the lock button.
Price, while expensive, with the typical Advance Auto discounts, will be less then just about any place else. Shipping was quick too.
This particular motor is for the front driver side. If you have problems with another lock, you will need a different part number.
One tip. When replacing, be sure to save and reuse the litte green clip attached to one arm of the motor being replaced. You will need this as the replacement motor does not come with one. Just be careful and use needle nose pliers and it will come out easily. If you are replacing on a Mazda MPV, visit the MPV club website. They have an excellent picture by picture illustration of how it should be done. Saved me when I got stuck and didn't know the next step. The job is easy if you just know the steps.
