Comments about CARQUEST by Intermotor Ignition Starter Switch:
There are 3 legs on these that slide into the socket and the first one came in a tattered box and I didn't realize that one of the legs was broken off flush. The Advance people would not have noticed it if they didn't have another one to compare and this item was not in stock in my local store. The second one was delivered the next day and was perfect and fixed an 07 VW Bug who's fuel pump kept running after the key was turned off.

Q:DOES THIS ITEM COME WITH A SET OF KEYS?
A:No Buckey, this is just an electrical switch part and does not come with the keys.
Q:Where is this switch located?
A:For further assistance, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle.
A:you have to diassemble the steering column, and it's opposite the place you insert the key. it's sort of a pain in the butt, i'm about to do mine in a day or so.
A:In the steering column. You can access it without removing the steering wheel, air bag and everything else by removing 2 #1 Phillips screws behind the steering wheel. You will need a long screw driver or fab one and hold your tongue just right. This will drop the lower plastic housing. Undo the wiring harness then use a jewelers screw driver to loosen the set screws and presto.
