      • Q:

How much do I tighten the bolt that mounts the tensioner pulley? I purchased one of these, but it does not have a bearing where the mounting bolt goes like the previous part did. If I make it too tight, it will not move when the tensioner pushes on it For now I have the mounting bolt snug but not too tight, so the tensioner will push it against the belt. I am not comfortable with having a bolt that is not tight. Would it be best to loosen the bolt to allow it to go tight against the belt and then tighten the bolt so it will not move? Is there a torque spec? Thank you.

Thank you for your response to my question. I would like to add more information in case anyone else needs it. I found out that I needed to remove the bushing/sleeve from my old part and reuse it in the new part in order to mount the new part correctly to the engine. This bushing goes in the large hole you see on the tension pulley. This bushing allows the part to be tightened correctly to the engine without restricting the pivoting movement, which is needed in order to maintain the belt tension.

Happy to help, Coffeeguy! Depending on which bolt, the torque differs. Per Honda Odyssey manual, the top bolt is 54 lb/ft while the lower one is 16 lb/ft. For more information you can call us toll free at: 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623)

Is the water pump included in this kit? It's not in the photo, but the description seems to say it IS included. (I realize the belt(s) is NOT included.) If it IS included, does the pump include the gasket, too?
