Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Component Kit:

First one made it to 4,500 miles, then spring failed. Warranty replacement lasted 760 miles .. then exact same failure. Note the picture below - you can see through that hole that's supposed to be used to hold the tension from the spring with an allen wrench ... because there's ZERO tension. The belt was flapping around in there, sounding like a mutant moth trapped in the engine. Lucky it didn't jump time - I'm amazed it didn't. Getting sick of doing this, so I will get my money back and go to Ford. Piece of foreign junk - don't waste your time, money, or sanity! Only reason for ONE star was because there isn't an option for ZERO stars!

Advance Auto Parts does sell Made in the USA products as well as products manufactured from many other countries in order to keep our pricing competitive. Please also keep in mind that many suppliers have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.
