Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

Installed the belt in August 2011. My brother installed one in his at the same time. Mine shredded after 65,000 miles and caused the timing to jump 3 teeth in March 2014. My brothers snapped 2 weeks later after only 40,000 miles. My engine might be salvageable. His is not due to bent valves caused by the belt snapping. These $50 belts have cost each of us more than the cost of an OEM belt from dealer. Hopefully this review can save somebody else some money in the end.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

Great timing belt. Hard to install, not because of the belt but because it was going in a Concorde LXi. Had to remove the leading edge; bummer cover, radiator, and headlights.

        A:

Without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. However, we would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.
