Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

Setting the timing on the 1997 Ford 2.3L 4 cyl. takes patience to get right. Make sure you align the Triangle marks on the cam gear.(Not triangle to diamond!). Align Diamond marks on oil pump gear. Align crank gear 0 mark with notch on housing.

Note: Do Not Use a gear puller on the Damper pully (harmonic balancer). Tapping on the gear alternately from side to side with a dead blow or brass hammer will work it lose and it will slide right off. Honest, it will.
