Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

The timing belt was not manufactured well at all. Once installed and the vehicle is running the belt would visibly move side to side on the pulleys. This causes fiction which cause more heat and fast wear. Spend the money and get a better belt... NOT THIS ONE.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

Even with the tentioner locked in the compressed position I had to let it down to almost the end of the tentioner mounting bolts. Cam marks lined up but not the crank.
So rotate by hand after install and recheck everything by the marks on the cams and crank.

      Pros

      • Fit easily

      Cons

      • Random timing marks

      Best Uses

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Timing Belt:

The random timing marks were confusing. The belt fit fine but the marked lines did not line up with all of the crankshaft and camshaft marks. I tried 3 different positions of the belt. It never matched. Figured the marks were just there to confuse me.

Are there any accompanying parts that I need purchase for a timing belt replacement on a 2006 Lexus 400H? I am replacing the water pump as well (which I have added to my cart already). I just want to make sure I give my hired mechanic everything he needs to complete the job.
