Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

Please read carefully my first purchase was a belt for a vehicle without AC. Without the help of the customer service people in the store, I wouldn't have gotten the right belt. I really don't remember seeing any question regarding my vehicle and whether or not it had AC. Not Just once but twice.

There are a lot of belts you can get for your vehicle, but considering the importance of a belt, it is worth spending a little extra to get a great product. This brand is one of the best on the market, so it is definitely worth getting.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

There is nothing worse than a break down while you are on a long road trip. I drive "older" vehicles because I like to get my money's worth out of them. I replaced the serpentine belt on my 01 Cherokee as a precaution just before leaving for vacation. There is not much you can say as far as describing the performance of a belt, they either work quietly or they don't. They either last or they don't. This truck is a daily driver that's sees everything from N.C. beach salt and sand to freezing rain an snow in eastern P.A. I've used Dayco in the past and have never had a problem.

The belt tensioner is designed to set & keep the recommended tension of the belt against all of the engine's pulley. In doing so the job of the belt tensioner keeps the belt tight to prevent belt squeal & slippage. It is set by the automotive manufacturer. Dayco must build & set there products spring pressure to the manufacturer specification.
