I put 2 of these on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am in the last year. Both of them squealed from day one. I checked everything and replaced all of the idlers and the tensioner because the bearings were marginal, but the only thing that stopped these belts from squealing was throwing them in the trash and buying one from somewhere else. I compared the one I bought from another store and this one, and I can see why it squeals. The ribs aren't wide enough and the belt bottoms out in the pulleys. I have definitely learned my lesson.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

At first try I wasn't sure it fits my 99 Explorer as listed, but it is easier to install if you remove the top radiator hose and turn the tensioner way down so you can slide the belt under the last step, the idler pulley.. Don't give up it fits...

Strapped this thing on to 99 olds cutlass. Fit fine, only problem is you have to remove motor mount to get it installed.
