Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

Purchased this belt for a 2002 Saturn SL1 and the website had the wrong part number listed. Returned it to a different Advance Auto they were very helpful. Did not not charge me the $3 price difference.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

If you hear rattling/clicking sounds that sound like your timing chain its not! This belt is too long and the tensioner is over extending. Belt that is required is 77.8in Believe it or not it makes a difference.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

Ordered online for store pick up, which I usually do - great system. Unfortunately, the online Advance Auto database matched the incorrect belt to my car. Didn't figure it out until I tried to put it on and it was too short. Checking other sites revealed the error. I took the belt back to the store, and as always the guys at the local Advance were great - swapped it for the correct one right away. Good experience in the end, and I'll keep on going to Advance as they're always very helpful and friendly.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

I was willing to pay a premium price for this belt with the expectation that the product would be durable. It didnt last a year until it began to blister on the flat side of the belt and begin to slip badly and make noise. Do to the thermal paper receipt fading, I could not get a return so therefore the warrenty was worthless.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt:

Mine was a replacement belt for a Saturn SL2. It fit just like the OEM, looks and feels durable, is quiet, took 10 minutes to install, and is made in the USA. I believe it's worth the small premium over other belts.

You asked me to add to my question but i really don't know how to get the question back so i'll start over.

                    I have a 2000 saturn SL series, 1.9L engine, FI VIN7.

My question was/is how do i know which serpentine belt to get as you list two different sizes for a vehicle like mine w/ps and w/ac. ???????? I'm sure many people would have the same problem. I took a chance and ordered the 780 belt but to me there's a 50% chance i'm wrong and i'll have to exchange it. A friend later said don't order the 780 but he doesn't know the correct number.
This is why i dislike to order things online. can you help me??
                    thanks, jim

If you have both power steering (p.s.) and air conditioning (a.c.) you need #780K5. If you have power steering but do NOT have air conditioning you need #5050665
