Easy to install and seemed to be extremely durable! Comes with the molded "t" in the middle for the three hoses to connect the coolant pressure resorvoir, the water pump housing pipe, and the heater core pipe. All you have to buy is a quick connect for about six more dollars and a small screw type clamp for the heater core pipe hose with the quick disconnect. And you can either buy two more clamps for the resorvoir and the waterpump housing pipe or reuse the old ones from your vehicle.

Purchased hoses and belts to perform preventative maintenance at a scheduled time. However, once the old hoses were removed and compared with new, it was determined the Dayco 88412 is 3.75 inches too short. The difference cannot be accomodated by changing routing. It's simply too short for the early 2007 Silverado (new design, not classic) 4.8L, but the only part number offered. Since it was over a weekend with limited options to check other sources, the hose had to be extended with another length of 5/8" heater hose and coupler with extra clamps causing a less than professional looking job as well as potential future leak points. I would not recommend this product.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Molded Heater Hose:

Fit and didn't leak. BTW, you can just use a piece of 5/8 heater hose for the other side. Advance doesn't carry the molded one for the smaller side. The bulk hose is just as good. This one is complicated, so don't try to make this one yourself.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Molded Heater Hose:

the part was on hand the only thing you have to do at least I found was that you need to cut off the plastic ring holding the quick connect fitting on to the hose going to the heater core so you can reuse it with a worm gear clamp witch you can pick up at the store. It installs in no time the whole assembly is OEM there's no guess work just refill antifreeze and go on your way

The hose and its construction seemed fine, I was just disappointed when I got home with and noticed that there was not a hose clamp for the end that attaches to the heater core. Luckily I had an extra and didn't need to go back to the parts store.

The quick connect on the end of the old part can be removed if the plastic ring (which serves as a clamp) is cut off.

The connection to the heater core is shorter than OEM requiring you to buy extra hose and splice it in. Also, you will need to obtain a quick connect fitting for the end. This is in a 2001 GMC Yukon 5.3

What is the part number for the quick-connect fitting to the heater? This is for a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. Dorman 800-403 doesn't fit - too small on the inside.

No, this is only the smaller I.D hose. The molded configuration eliminates the need for multiple connections of hoses and clamps.
