Ford did a warrant replacement on my orginal tensioner at 45k miles, and I've been pushing it, but I installed this at 110k miles, 20k miles later still no squeaking (OEM replacement started squeaking a month later). Easy to install and didn't have any issues with the hex nut release. Recommend someone help with the actual re-routing of the new belt, but otherwise, pretty much had it done by myself.

The hex head adjuster is molded into the aluminum or white metal casting. In order to get the new belt on I had my wife hold tension while I installed the belt. The hex head snapped off just as the belt slipped on. I probably should have removed the belt and returned the tensioner for replacement, but after wrestling with the belt for about a half hour I didn't want to begin again. I will order a Motorcraft tensioner the next time since this one is now a one time use item. Very poor design compared with the original.

Product is exactly how it's described. Works flawlessly and was installed easily with no problems. I've read a review or two where someone said they snapped the "nut" off when putting the belt back on. I don't see how unless they were doing it wrong.
