    Comments about BWD Relay:

I replaced all 3 relays for my power door locks and they work perfectly. I had bought new actuators thinking that was the problem but I think it was the relays all along.

      Comments about BWD Relay:

This is the general purpose relay to replace the condenser fan, radiator fan, and horn relay on Saturn vehicles. On the L200 series, the relay has a terminal, 87a, that is unused. Don't mistakenly believe the relay is incorrect. You simply clip off the unused relay pin with some diagonal cutters. Make sure you orient the relay properly. Flip it over and examine the terminals. Identify which pins go to which holes by looking at the pin chart on the fuse panel. I put an arrow on the relay top with a marker to designate "front". Failure of the original relay caused intermittent operation of the condenser fan. This, in turn, causes over pressurization of the A/C discharge line which can rupture the compressor to condenser hose and/or cause failure of the compressor clutch coil. So, if you've had a line or compressor failure, be sure to replace this relay or you'll get to do it all again. I replaced all 3 relays as they are identical. For about [$], it is cheap insurance. I'd have rated it higher if it had some instruction on the extra terminal. However, it is a Gen Purp part and maybe they think you should know a bit about it.

Hi Nick, glad to assist you! The turn signal flasher is in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

      • Q:

My anti-lock light has come on. It is a 2000 Buick Centery Custom. Is it the ABS and will this part work?
Asked on 1/2/2013 by Char from Robeson, NC

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

If you have the anti-lock light is on, it most likely means there is a problem with the electronic controls in your brakes. If it comes on while you are braking, it means the Anti-Lock has kicked in. It should only do that however, if you are braking really hard. Addendum: It is very important to have the above procedure done to diagnose the cause. It might be minor but it could be as important as a wheel bearing, and a cracked hub, which if damaged could cause the wheel to become loose and you could lose control. I've added this addendum because I was told by a mechanic not to worry about the ABS light, that it was a minor problem. Only to find out later that in many vehicles the ABS sensor is attached to the wheel hub and a malfunctioning bearing can cause the sensor to slip., causing it to turn on. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.
